This seminar, presented by UC San Diego School of Medicine and GrassrootsHealth, has been developed as an educational opportunity to present and discuss the science of vitamin D and sunshine. The objective of the meeting is to leave with an implementation plan for your group – using vitamin D and sunshine to optimize health.

At the conclusion of this activity you should be able to:

  • List at least 5 disease conditions affected by vitamin D deficiency
  • Identify the production of at least 5 biochemical components that are impacted by the sun that are not due to vitamin D
  • Identify safe vitamin D serum levels
  • Identify 3 key findings from pregnancy RCT’s that improve patient outcomes
  • Describe a public health procedure for implementing a local program to solve the deficiency epidemic

Target Attendees

This educational program is designed for MD/DO’s, Scientists/Researchers, NP/PA/Nurses, Psychologists, Therapists and Health Practitioners of all specialties.

This seminar is also great for leaders of medical groups, hospitals, public health departments, community centers, and insurance companies – anyone who is concerned about reducing the cost of disease in their population.
