Vitamin D Society Launches Updated Website

Kelowna, BC (March 15, 2012) – The Vitamin D Society is happy to announce the launch of its upgraded and updated website, www.vitamindsociety.org

With vitamin D research progressing faster than any field in medicine today, the new website provides users with up-to-date news, press releases, events, videos, books and reference material. It also retains the key critical general information about vitamin D, such as health benefits, natural levels and sources.

The home page highlights the Vitamin D Society’s primary messages:

  • For everyone to get their vitamin D levels tested with a calcidiol test.
  • For everyone to maintain natural vitamin D blood levels: 100-150 mol/L (also measured as 40-60 ng/ml).

The new website was designed to be easily navigated and provide users with the answers to their vitamin D questions. Reference material includes power point presentations from recent Vitamin D symposiums and much more. The new home page also reflects today’s increasing demand for video communications with over 100 vitamin D videos catalogued for easy playback.

Make sure you visit us today at www.vitamindsociety.org

The Vitamin D Society is a Canadian nonprofit group organized to increase awareness of health conditions linked to vitamin D deficiency and to encourage Canadians to be proactive in protecting their health by having their vitamin D blood levels tested annually. According to University of Calgary research, up to 97 percent of Canadians are vitamin D deficient at some point in the year.
